Do you accept insurance?

My practice is out-of-network with most insurance plans. I process the session fee after each session and can then provide you with a superbill to share with your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

 

If you're planning to use out-of-network benefits for therapy, here are some key questions to ask your insurance company:

1. What is my out-of-network deductible for behavioral health services?

   • How much of that deductible have I already met this plan year?

2. For CPT codes 90834 and 90837 (individual therapy sessions), what is the Usual and Customary Rate (UCR) for my zip code?

3. Once I meet the out-of-network deductible, what percentage of the UCR will be reimbursed?

   • Is there a separate deductible that applies specifically to these services?

What platform do you use for telehealth sessions?

I use a program called SimplePractice that synchronizes scheduling technology with appointment scheduling and messaging services. This is a Hipaa compliant software. You can receive alerts for sessions that will then direct you to a link that you can open to view your video appointment. Please be sure to have consistent access to the internet for a clear connection.
