Do you accept insurance?
My practice is out-of-network with most insurance plans. I process the session fee after each session and can then provide you with a superbill to share with your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
The following are important questions to ask your insurance company if you are looking to receive out-of-network benefits:
1. What is the out-of-network deductible I need to meet before I get any
reimbursement for behavioral health treatment? How much of the out-of-network
deductible have I met for this plan’s year?
2. For out-of-network CPT code 90834 and 90837 what is the Usual and Customary
accepted fee for my zip code?
3. Is there a separate out-of-network deductible after which a percentage of the Usual and Customary
fee for 90834/90837 will be reimbursed? What is that percentage?
What platform do you use for telehealth sessions?
I use a program called SimplePractice that synchronizes scheduling technology with appointment scheduling and messaging services. This is a Hipaa compliant software. You can receive alerts for sessions that will then direct you to a link that you can open to view your video appointment. Please be sure to have access to the internet for a clear connection.
